Head of Infrastructure Investments
Raza Hasnani has over twenty-three years of private equity, infrastructure and impact investing experience in Africa, Asia and the Americas. He leads the infrastructure investments business at Africa50 (a $850 million investment firm) and is focused on making PE and growth equity investments into greenfield and brownfield projects as well as platforms. Previously, he was Managing Director at The Abraaj Group where he headed the energy infrastructure investment team and worked on all aspects of the investment process, from leading sourcing and execution of infrastructure and private equity transactions, to post-acquisition value creation and membership on boards. Prior to that, he was with Exxon Mobil Corporation in Dallas and Houston, where he led project and corporate financing for energy and infrastructure projects around the world. He started his career at Deloitte in Philadelphia.
Mr. Hasnani has invested in renewable and conventional power projects, electric and gas utilities, pipelines, ports, terminals, upstream, refineries, transportation, and other energy and infrastructure assets around the world.
He holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a BA from Franklin and Marshall College.
