Habiba has been in the renewable energy industry since 2005. She co-founded the Developmental Association for Renewable Energies, a key contributor to the Clean Development Mechanism project Efficient Cook Stoves for Nigeria, the Solar Lamps Assembly, and the solar dryers for healthy foods project. Habiba launched Sosai Renewable Energies in 2010, a social enterprise that offers efficient, reliable and sustainable products including solar lamps, solar home systems, and water filters to the people of the rural and peri-urban communities of Northern Nigeria. As founder and the Managing Director,  Habiba manages Sosai core partnerships that enable solutions to be deployed. Sosai is currently empowering communities and businesses with technologies that have impacted the lives of about 650,000 people in Nigeria. She holds a B.sc in Accounting, Master's in Finance and at the final stages of a Ph.D. in Management. She has won awards like the Global leadership Award and the UNSDG award
