Since 2017, Michael Jordan has been a Senior Advisor at Power Africa, specializing in energy finance. He accelerates project finance and risk mitigation solutions in Sub-Saharan Africa and covers Angola, Madagascar and Mozambique for Power Africa. Previous to his current role, he led the Power Africa country team in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania where he was responsible for USAID’s energy sector portfolio. He has also worked with USAID on energy, agribusiness and enabling environment policy reform in Mozambique and Iraq. Prior to his government service, Michael was a Vice President with Citi in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where he covered the power, petroleum and sanitation industries, and in Miami, Florida, USA. Michael began his career as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Kenya. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from Columbia University and a Bachelors of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
